Lovely hotel located in a lovely part of Bristol. Parking is a real nightmare in the area, so I was grateful I arrived early (10:30am) and found a space at the rear of the hotel. I booked two rooms. One for my wife and I and the other for my two sons. We were in the area to attend a wedding. The Hotel was unable to provide an early check in, however this was expected and caused no issues. Check is was good and very friendly. Still dont know why the Covid screen gets in between guests and reception dialogue but I suppose this is the world we live in. When we checked into our rooms in the main building (there appears to to two) we stayed on the second and top floor which was assessable via stairs only from what I could see. We all could do with a bit of exercise so the incresed heart rate was good for the soul. Room was small however OK for a one night stay. A fan in the room was welcome as there is no air-conditioning. Breakfast was good quality English breakfast with poached eggs (always a challenge for the unskilled!) I was more than happy with the quality of the breakfast and so too was the family. Overall A great experience and if in the area again, we would return.

The hotel was in fine shape and is in two adjacent large old homes. Although there is no lift, it was easy to navigate yhe stairs. it is in a great location not far from the bridge but very much uphill from the water. We had two rooms: a Family Room which was ample in size and a Small Double which was small.it The bathroom window would not close in our Family Room and so it was chilly, and the small Small Double faced building lights along the driveway and from rooms in the opposite facing building which are bright at night into that room even with drapes closed. The small parking lot was much appreciated and it is very quiet at night as the property backs to a historic cemetery. Other room guests were respectful about noise. The location is excellent for the Clifton Bridge. The beds were comfy and the breakfast was very good and attentively served on time. The staff were efficicient and helpful and kind to us.

Amazing experience, from the moment we were welcomed by the staff. This is a beautiful building in the heart of Clifton Village. Very nice decorations inside. We had a "small double room" - for a small one it was quite spacious, and very nice, impeccable clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, a view towards leafy Victoria Square. The location - fabulous, 7 minute walk to Clifton Suspension Bridge, much closer, just like 2 minutes to Boyce Avenue with the best cafes in Bristol, which is the reason why we did NOT have a breakfast in the hotel - i've been told they are good, but the temptation from my favourite place in Clifton was strong, and they serve fabulous eggs Benedict. Back to the hotel, they have a nice car park, but it may fill up quickly so arrive early. All in all, 10 out of 10, we'll definitely be back here!

We loved our short stay here! The small hotel is in a lovely Victorian era building. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful. The location is perfect. There’s a bus stop right outside that easily gets you to the central city or Bristol train station in just a few minutes. It’s a short walk through the picturesque Victoria Square Park to the lovely Clifton Village where there are plenty of great restaurants, shops and cafes (can recommend Mercy Mercy for excellent coffee). A short walk from there is the majestic Clifton Suspension Bridge and surrounding park, a must see if visiting Bristol. If you’re a Banksy fan, we were pleased to discover several of his works on buildings in central Bristol.

Returning guest, so I obviously like the hotel. It's a great location in the heart of Clifton in two beautiful houses. The rooms are high, which lends them an air of spaciousness. Breakfast was ample and enough to get you through the day till dinner with a fair choice of options, including vegan/vegetarian. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. There was a fan in the room, which was a godsend on the hot days I was there. The shower could have had more power when hot, but was fine.
